Catering Policies and Procedures


Office Hours & Placing Orders

Genuine Foods Catering office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.


All catering orders must be placed no later than 7 business days prior to the event.

This notice enables us to adequately order, staff and plan for your event. Late orders will result in a late charge.


Your catering order is not booked or confirmed until we contact you with a confirmation of your order.


Changes/Guarantees

All changes to menu selections, guest counts and event arrangements must be confirmed no later than three business days prior to the event. Any event which is cancelled after this time will result in the client being charged the full amount. Increases of guest count less than 24 hours in advance will incur a 20% late fee surcharge.


China Usage

Genuine Foods is an environmentally conscious company, for all standard events we strive to use sustainably disposable plates, cutlery and cups.

 


Non-College events and off site events will require rental from an equipment company. Please contact the catering director for assistance.


Linen

While table linens are included for all Genuine Foods food and beverage tables, other linen usage such as: registration, gift, auction or seating will be charged at $6.00 apiece.


Staffing

Genuine Foods is happy to arrange for staffing for your event. Buffet attendants are REQUIRED for events of 100 guests or more. Please inquire for pricing.


Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are applied to orders delivered on campus and will be determined by cost and size. Off site deliveries must meet the minimum $100.00 order and will be assessed a delivery charge based on time and distance.


Non-College and Off Site Events

If you are interested in Genuine Foods as a caterer for an off-site and/or non-college sponsored event, please contact our Catering Director at 503-000-000. In addition, all non-college clients will be assessed a 20% service charge. External clients, with events on-campus or off, cannot bring in their own alcoholic beverages. Equipment rental for external clients or off site clients must go through a rental company. Please contact the catering director for assistance.


Payment

Genuine Foods must have a confirmed method of payment prior to the event. Non-College clients must provide a 50% down payment no later than ten days prior to the event. This deposit is not refundable if the event is canceled.


Menu Pricing

Our menu prices are based on current market conditions. We reserve the right to make changes when necessary. Prices will be guaranteed no more than 30 days prior to an event. Prices do not include temporary labor or additional rental items. Labor pricing is not guaranteed more than 30 days from when order is placed.


Menu Item Substitutions

Genuine Foods reserves the right to make reasonable substitutions to menus if ingredients are unavailable. Major items, such as proteins will be disclosed to clients. Please let us know of any major allergies when placing your order.


Alcoholic Beverages

Genuine Foods can provide wine, beer and liquor along with an OLCC licensed bartender for your events. Guests are not permitted to provide their own beverages. Genuine Foods is happy to order any particular beverages with enough notice.


Minimum Orders

There is a 10 person minimum for buffets unless otherwise stated.


We can do individually boxed meals for any number of guests.


Tables, Equipment & Room Set-Up

Genuine Foods Catering does not supply tables, chairs or other such items. If your event requires special seating or room set-up, please pre-arrange for your needs by contacting the Chemeketa college Events Office at 503-000-0000.

Your order is not yet confirmed! Order will be confirmed when payment is received. Please call Cheryl Ray @ 971-283-8961 to make your catering payment with your credit or P card and confirm your order. The Catering Event Confirmation office hours are as follows: Monday through Friday, 2:00pm to 4:00pm When the payment is received a confirmation email with a copy of your event invoice will be sent. All orders and payments must be received seven (7) days prior business days to your event.
